The Landlady by Roald Dahl


 

Roald Dahl was a British novelist, short story writer, poet, fighter pilot, and screenwriter. 

 He is the author of Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,The Magic Finger, and so many unforgettable stories which we have all read and enjoyed.

This week we are going to read the short story  The Landlady, first published in the New Yorker in 1959.

"The Lottery" by Shirley Jackson (4 C Advanced)

 

                                              

 "The Lottery" is a short story written by Shirley Jackson and published by the New Yorker in 1948. It is one of the most controversial stories published by the magazine and is now considered a classic.

It has been adapted into different formats including a graphic novel.
